What is SIA CCTV License?
One of the most popular SIA licences. The CCTV Licence, also known as the Public Space Surveillance (PPS) Licence, allows you to work in the private security industry as a CCTV Operator.

Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor
Level 2 Award for Upskilling a Door Supervisor
Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (PSS).

Target Group

Door Supervisor - This is a course for anyone wishing to work in the private security industry and obtain a licence under the SIA Private Security Act 2001.

Upskilling a Door Supervisor – In March 2012 SIA announced existing door supervisors to undertake additional training to renew their licence.

CCTV Operator - This is a course for anyone wishing to work in the private security industry and obtain a licence under the SIA Private Security Act 2001.

About the Course

Door Supervisor – minimum contact hours 32.5, delivered over 5 days.

Upskilling a Door Supervisor – minimum contact hours 12.5, delivered over 2 days.

CCTV Operator – minimum contact hours 23, delivered over 3 days.

How is this Course Delivered?

All of these courses are offered both via our online learning platform ELS Online and Offline (Physical) which are supported with interactive resources and webinars to cover the key topics where you can interact with a tutor and your peers. You will be supported throughout by one of our tutors who will review your progress.

HOW TO APPLY?

    CCTV Operators mostly work in control rooms where camera footage from offices, shops or public spaces are displayed. Using the equipment, it is the CCTV Operator's responsibility to keep people and property safe by actively monitoring public areas, tracking individuals and identifying risk. Employers include security companies, local councils and corporations.
