SUMMER ESOL CLASSES
PROJECT GENESIS: ESFA Funded ESOL Programme
Project Genesis is an exciting FREE project for Refugees and Asylum Seekers run by ELS in East London, funded by the ESFA.

The programme delivers ESOL & Community Integration lessons that focuses on improving the Learners English skills, tailored for those seeking employment.
​
Our classes are delivered by qualified and experienced teachers.
​
Project Genesis is an ideal summer course, it will help learners to bridge the gap and encourage them to keep practicing their English skills over the summer holiday
Schedule
The 6 week programme is scheduled to take place:

Thursday 30th June – Thursday 4th August

Once a week, 3 hours per lesson
Course Content

Listening: Listen and respond

Speaking: Speak to communicate, Engage in discussion
​

Reading : Read and understand, read to obtain information
​

Grammar & punctuation, vocabulary, word recognition & phonics
​

Writing: Writing composition, write to communicate, sentence focus, presenting information and ideas in a logical way.
Course Information
Learning outcomes:
-
Develop and improve English written and spoken communication skills.

Develop the ability to listen and understand the language and to have a greater comprehension of read texts and articles.

Improve reading and writing skills

Improve the use of grammar and correct application of grammar in speaking and writing of standard English

The learners will have opportunity to gain an ESOL qualification from Trinity College or Pearson/Edexcel.
How is this Course Delivered?
This course will be delivered at our ELS centre based in Stratford.
​
Learning will be further supported with interactive resources to help you cover the key topics.
You will be supported throughout by our tutors who will review your progress.
